Things To Do In Miami Before Taking a Cruise

The Miami Cruise Port is the busiest on earth, often referred to as the ‘cruise capital of the world’. It’s a go-to start/finish point for expeditions around the Caribbean and the Bahamas from providers like Carnival, Celebrity and more. Millions of passengers travel in and out of the port every year, with many arriving from all over the world to start their journeys. With this in mind, countless travellers are constantly on the hunt for things to do in Miami during their short visits in and out of the city.

This blog will highlight some great things explorers can do before or after taking cruises from Miami, even if they only have a few hours to spend.

Check out South Beach

There are plenty of things to do in South Beach Miami Florida, whether you have a whole day or a handful of hours. The stunning setting is a gorgeous place to post up for a couple hours on a towel, take a quick dip in the sea or take a little longer to soak up some great food and culture.

Popular things to do in the area include:

Explore Little Havana

If you’re looking for culturally rich things to do in Miami, you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere more full of life than Little Havana. This Cuban centre is stuffed to the gills with Salsa Music, delicious food, stunning art and so many other energetic artefacts of Hispanic culture old and new. If you have the time, this isn’t an area you want to miss.

Absorb the Wynwood Arts District

For an even artier experience, head to Downtown Miami (a 15-minute drive from the Port) to the Wynwood Arts District. Along with being home to iconic Museums such as the Nader and Museum of Graffiti, the area is known for an abundance of stunning street art, murals, pop-up food trucks, live music and so much more. Even a short visit warrants a stroll through this eclectic district.

Enjoy Miami!

If you only have a couple hours or you’ve booked one of the many great pre-cruise hotels Miami has to offer, this city is a gem of excitement and vibrant culture. Don’t miss your opportunity to get started early on the festivities of this vacation!
