Noumea, the capital of New Caledonia, is a metropolitan hub surrounded by abundant natural beauty and one of the best ports in any South Pacific cruise.
New Caledonia is known for its appeal as a relatively quiet and untouched region; however, its capital city of Noumea is an excellent place for more metropolitan travellers to start. The city’s Coconut Square is the nerve centre of Noumea, complete with a bandstand, historic statues and plenty of gorgeous foliage. With a blend of French and Melenesian influences, the atmosphere mixes the tropical with the European, which can be tasted in the food and seen in the architecture. Stay for a little longer to explore New Caledonia for all of its lagoons and landscapes. Check out our distinct range of Noumea-inclusive cruises below!
