The city on the water is also an excellent place to set sail on a cruise through the Mediterranean from! Check out our itineraries below.
The citizens of Venice already have a unique relationship with the water. The city is actually a collection of 118 small islands, built upon the Venetian Lagoon, connected by canals, small streets and bridges. With this historic and fascinating aquatic setup in mind, it should be no wonder that the city is such a hub for Mediterranean cruising. Cruises from Venice take many different routes, as evidenced by the itineraries we have listed below, meaning it’s a great way to see the Med in various orders and configurations. And, of course, it goes without saying that the glorious scenery of Venice itself shouldn’t be taken for granted, so make sure to take some time on either side of your journey to try all the sights, sounds, smells and tastes that the city has to offer.
